Hi, friends! Here are some of the items I’ve been loving in the month of February. Hard to believe it’s already March & we are getting closer to Spring!

I’ve been really trying to get my hair healthier this month after over a decade of bleach tints, processing, and at one time even hair extensions.

I’m always having trouble finding hair masques that really “wow” me. This one definitely surprised me! SheaMoisture® Jamaican Black Castor Oil Intensive Strengthening Masque gives me that instant gratification that we all look for when using any type of mask or treatment. Shea Moisture offers a huge range of different products from hair, body and even skin care. I first picked up a packet of this which give you a nice trial amount containing about 1-2 uses. They offer packets or full size containers. I have fine hair and yet this product doesn’t weigh it down.

Since I’ve been also trying to apply less heat to my hair, I often wear my natural wavey-curl. My natural hair texture is pretty dry, which is normal for more curley girls. Next on my loves is this $5 shampoo…YES! It’s five bucks and gets ride of my product build-up without stripping! Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo I shampoo my hair about once a week & purchased this on a whim with zero expectation. I normally only trust salon brands but I was in a hurry and was feeling brave in Target.

Next up on my current hair helpers is THE BEST CURLING PRODUCT I’ve ever used. I work this into my damp hair after the shower. As a result, my curls are so much more soft and defined.  Advanced Climate Control® Heat and Humidity Gel

• only small amount needed.
• defines curls.
• eliminates/controls frizz.
• protects hair from environmental aggressors.

 

On to skin care! My skin is on the oily side so I used to think that oil would break me out or cause me to be even more shiny. However, that is not always the case when using facial oils. Some oils contain ingredients that can help address your specific skin concerns. I advise you to try out different ones and do your reasearch. (USE ESSENTIAL/NATURAL OILS) Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil I apply this on my face and neck every night at bedtime then wake up with brighter more dewy skin.

Okay let’s see what else I’ve been obsessed with…Hmmm…

GLOSSIER CLOUD MF PAINT. I now see that I was not wearing enough blush or correctly!  I honestly don’t know how I lived without it?! Okay I’m aware of how dramatic I am, but seriously?! This stuff doesn’t move! Perfectly pigmented and just the right consistency. I wear Cloud Paint in Haze almost every damn day (even my no makeup days which are more often than not). It blends effortlessly and gives me that sexy, dewy flush I dream about.  I’ve applied this many ways but have finally found the technique that works best for me. I love to use a velour puff and blend it upward on my cheeks bones and just a touch on my nose.  Haze is a darker pink more on the purple side. I don’t care who ya are. Try it, girl.
